A small leafed tea - quick brewing, strong and malty. Assam is grown in the lowlands along the valley shared with the mighty Brahmaputra River. Assam is perhaps most famous for its Full Bodied, Brisk and Malty flavour which distinguishes it from other teas. Quite often it is described as a breakfast tea and would be easily recogniseable by taste. It is also best taken with milk.

Once the world's largest producer of tea, the island of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is renowned for the superior quality of its tea.The majority of Sri Lanka's tea gardens are situated in the south-west of the island at a height of between 1,000 and 2,500 metres, with the finest teas grown at the highest altitudes where the cool and slightly misty climate results in a slow growth of the tea bushes, giving these teas their uniquely colourful liquor and intense flavour.Ceylon Orange Pekoe is a classic Ceylon Tea, having a light, delicate flavour and a coppery liquor.
